第九条
第九条 of the Education Amendments of 1972 (“第九条”), which prohibits discrimination 以性别为基础, and provides as follows.
No person in the United States sh所有, 以性别为基础, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.

The university does not discriminate 以性别为基础 in matters of education, extracurricular activities, 项目, 体育运动, 招生, 住房, 服务, 金融援助, or in the context of employment (collectively, the “项目 and employment”). Sexual harassment that denies or limits a person’s ability to participate in or benefit from the university’s 项目 and employment is a form of prohibited discrimination.

Consistent with the University’s Non-Discrimination Notice and the U.S. Department of Education’s implementing regulations for 第九条 of the Education Amendments of 1972 (“第九条”) (看到 34 C.F.R. § 106 节.), the University prohibits Sexual Harassment that occurs within its education 项目 or activities.
For purposes of this policy, Sexual Harassment includes quid pro quo sexual harassment, hostile environment sexual harassment, 性侵犯, 家庭暴力, dating violence and stalking.
This policy prohibits Sexual Harassment meeting specific definitions according to the 第九条 regulations. The University also prohibits other sexual misconduct, not f所有ing under specific 第九条 regulatory definitions. Such conduct may include quid pro quo sexual harassment, hostile environment sexual harassment, 性侵犯, 家庭暴力, dating violence or stalking that occurs outside of the university’s education 项目 or activities or outside the United States; or unwelcome conduct that does not rise to the level of hostile environment sexual harassment, as defined in this 政策, but is otherwise prohibited by the University. The term “sexual misconduct” is used throughout this policy as a term to refer to such conduct that may be prohibited by the University and addressed through other University procedures.

The university encourages 所有 university members to promptly report 所有 incidents of Sexual Harassment as soon as possible in order to maximize the university’s ability to respond promptly and effectively. The university does not, however, limit the time frame for reporting.
